Yes, the University has a mandatory weekly prevalence testing program for all students living in Charlottesville/ Albemarle County, including graduate and professional students as well as undergraduates. The University provides robust testing opportunities for students, including mandatory pre-arrival testing, symptomatic testing as needed, and close contact testing as needed. Similar to the fall semester, students will be encouraged to remain in Charlottesville/ Albemarle as much as possible during the spring semester, with exceptions for important and unavoidable travel such as job interviews.
